Position: Chief Accountant

Location: Oman – Millennium Resort

The Chief Accountant plays a vital role in overseeing all financial activities of the resort, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, maintaining financial accuracy, and supporting senior management with data-driven insights.


Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Assist in coordinating both internal and external audits.

2. Accounting Operations Management

  • Supervise daily accounting activities, including:

    • Accounts Payable

    • Accounts Receivable

    • General Ledger functions

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records and transactions.

  • Implement and monitor strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.

3. Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Assist in the budgeting and financial planning process.

  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.

  • Monitor financial performance against budget targets.

  • Implement cost-control measures while maintaining service and quality standards.

4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.

  • Coordinate bank reconciliations and cash management activities.

  • Optimize fund utilization and availability.

5. Procurement & Vendor Coordination

  • Participate in procurement processes.

  • Support vendor negotiations and contract management.

6. Systems & Technology Enhancement

  • Stay updated on accounting technology trends.

  • Recommend system improvements and automation where applicable.

  • Ensure effective utilization of accounting software and financial tools.

7. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise accounting staff.
